DESIGN BRIEF
For this design project, we were tasked with creating a 4-fold brochure or booklet guiding the reader through a task using 6 simple steps. We had the freedom to include a brief sentence and an illustration to help demonstrate or describe each step. Choosing our own topic, it was recommended to select a skill we are familiar with that reflects our hobbies or interests. This approach allowed us to efficiently and minimally explain the necessary steps.
I chose to illustrate and explain how to use the brush tool in Illustrator with a mouse. I believed this skill to be unique to my work and wanted to showcase my process or provide guidance for others interested in doing it themselves.

RESEARCH + EXPLORATION
When selecting a color palette and typeface for this project, I aimed to adhere to the theme of illustration, creating a look and feel reminiscent of a coloring or art book while incorporating the interface of a computer screen. Throughout the creation of my booklet, my objective was to maintain simplicity, foster enjoyment, and infuse vibrant colors to captivate the viewer's attention. Once all elements were arranged, I had to determine what I wished to illustrate for my demonstration. Opting to avoid unnecessary details, I decided to craft a playful and straightforward character for added enjoyment.
